The term “Smart Home” now means one that uses home automation technology to improve energy efficiency, lower its carbon footprint, and reduce the environmental impact created by the people living in the home. The good news is there are a myriad of manufacturers developing and producing products that allow homeowners to control their home systems with preprogrammed time schedules and events which help save money and conserve energy.
